This was the best vacation rental experience we have ever had. The cabin was charming, clean and comfortable. Since we were there during rainy days, we thoroughly enjoyed the wood stove and comfort of the living area around it. Having no television was a bonus as the three of us played games together, enjoyed some good reading, and the youngest and bravest made trips down and up the many steps to the lake. The windows in the kitchen and living room area made us intensely aware of the beautiful autumn colors of the trees surrounding the cabin. We definitely left satisfied with our mini-vacation, but wished we could stay much longer! Janice, Lance, & Edie

Absolutely beautiful location on the lake. Very quiet with a great back patio to enjoy the view. Place was clean and comfortable. Be sure to check the ferry times and prices when you come to the island. We loved all the hiking on the island and back across the lake in Bayfield too!

The most beautiful cabin with the most beautiful view! This is just what this mama needed...rest and relaxation amongst the trees and natural blue waters. The cabin was very comfortable and well maintained and everything was just nice all around! We will be back!

This was a beautiful home with great access to the lake! Our kids loved paddle boarding off the dock. Be sure to bring bug spray...bugs everywhere, including a lot of ticks. That will be any place on Madeline Island. Other than the bugs, it was great!

Could not have been more perfect. The cottage itself is a dream, subtle Scandinavian charm on the inside while on the outside, thoughtful choices to harmonize this new construction with its gorgeous natural surroundings. I don't know how many times one of us said to the other, 'This place is amazing.' As good as it looks in the pictures, it's even better in person. It's about a hundred steps down to the dock, but it's worth it for the view with your morning coffee up top followed by a plunge into the lake down below.

Beautiful house and property! Such a cozy home with a cute kitchen, and a great seating area for our whole group. The spiral staircase to the loft is so neat! The bunk bed was bigger than they looked in the pics, everyone slept very comfortably! Loved the patio and getting out in the dock at the lake too!

The Madeline Island is a carefully crafted space with modern and vintage touches. You feel at home yet on vacation with amazing views. It is well equipped and we loved our stay! Josh and Britta are responsive and kind hosts, always ready to help! We can't wait to come visit again.
